Phuket pit viper!

After having arrived in Phuket two months ago we were finally able to see the endemic snake of Phuket yesterday: the Phuket pit viper (Trimeresurus phuketensis). As well as this beautiful male viper we also found two Vine snakes (Ahaetulla prasina) and Smith’s litter frog (Leptobrachium smithi). Furthermore, a few evenings previously we found a striped bronze back (Dendrelaphis caudolineatus) the first time I have seen this snake.

En plus, il y a quelques soirs, on a trouvé un Dendrelaphis caudolineatus, la première fois que j’ai vu ce serpent-là.

    • I haven’t counted Fred, not doing too bad but I would say I am less than half way through the island list at the moment! Still missing about 15 snake species!
