Spring photography projects…

So far this spring I’ve assigned myself several photography projects, notably getting good photos of some of the moorland birdlife in my area, especially owls. This has taken time away from my reptile monitoring but is helping to provide distribution records of some species not known to breed in certain areas where I have found them this season. So apologies that the recent posts have been bird heavy, although I did see a common lizard (Zootoca vivipara) while out on the moors the other day.

Off to Asturias in northern Spain at the weekend so expect a field report from one of the most beautiful areas of Europe very soon!
