Corfu and Paxos

Sorry for the radio silence, I have been back a week now from Corfu and Paxos but computer problems have meant I could not upload any photos until now. As usual I had a great trip, Paxos in particular delivering some surprises. For now here is a photo of one of the Aesculapian snakes (Zamenis longissimus) that we found, this one from Corfu. Report and photos on the way soon.

  1. Hi, so good to see this post. I went to Corfu (Kassiopi) at short notice 7th – 12th May myself. I hadn’t been before and due to short notice was unable to do any decent pre-trip herp research. I fully intend to go again to make up for that – please could you point me to an info / contact I could consult to help for my next trip? (I’m on the ARG UK panel). I’d be most grateful. I only saw one glass lizard but sadly it was dead. (Obviously don’t want to broadcast reptile locations on the Internet). Does anyone do guided reptile walks out there? Many thanks 🙂
