Firstly I must apologise for the lack of activity on the blog since my trip to Lesvos, but in all honesty there has been very little to report!
Aside from thoroughly enjoying my week-to-week work at the Manchester museum vivarium, I have not undertaken anymore field trips this last month as the UK winter has very much begun. At present I have some vague plans for 2010, I will almost certainly be doing a trip to northern Greece and Lemnos Island with my Greek friend Ilias Strachinis (www.herpetofauna.gr) with some specific species targets in the springtime (namely M.xanthina, P.syriacus, B.bombina etc). We had planned to do this trip this year but alas we were not able to owing to other trip commitments. However apart from this 2010 may be a quiet year for me in terms of field trips abroad, a week holiday in the Balearics maybe a possibilty for the summer but at this stage I honestly do not know.
For those of you who are not regular visitors to the EFHC, there have been some fantastic updates recently and some of the best field reports we have ever had! Check some of them out:
As I’m sure you will agree, the photography is absolutely fantastic!
